Marriage and Family Therapist Associate

Katie Schroettnig, MS, Marriage and Family Thearpist Associate

I deeply love helping others and have had the privilege of doing so over many years
of work in human services. I have worked in palliative care settings and state and
local agencies, helping individuals and families through some of their most difficult times, as well as some of their greatest joys and achievements. I believe that each of us has the ability to care for and nurture ourselves when given the right resources and tools. Change can be both
challenging and rewarding and having a therapist willing to walk alongside you during that journey is a valuable resource.

Counseling Approach

My approach to therapy is holistic, trauma-informed, and client -centered, addressing the unique
challenges each individual faces. In therapy, I come alongside clients on their journey of
discovering their inner strength. I am passionate about helping clients navigate life transitions
and cultivate lasting change. Drawing from humanistic theory, attachment theory, and somatic
theory, and others, depending on each client’s needs. I believe that therapy is an ever-evolving
process, and that therapy should be a space that is adaptable enough to meet each client exactly
where they are.
